Meet Pwill Ewelike, the New Kid on the Block

Pwill was born in the city of Lagos Nigeria, originally from a long time group known as the Acts. The Group "Acts" was formed in 2000 consisting of Pwill and partner known as Cross. They released a song called "Stay Alive.” Stay Alive air played on local radio stations and was recognized by rap/hip-hop fans. The group then went solo and both artists decided to work on individual projects and featuring. In 2001, Pwill moved to Dallas Texas and later joined with another group known as Crunk shop. Crunk shop consists of Big Ox, Oblivion, Lee and Pwill were known for their deep southern flows and banging crunk beats.

They began to make big moves in the streets of D-Town performing in shows and participating in rap battles. Later in 2004 the group slit up for individual projects. Pwill has since then continued on with his music Career and has put out one mix tape album as trying to gain popularity and also be heard in Africa and Internationally. The first mix tape "Rated Next" was released in 2008 under the label back up "Le Blonde" entertainment and received good reviews from listeners. His second Mix tape Album called "Hip-hop Flava" is still to be completed but due to be out winter 2009. Hip-hop flava is going to be a redefinition of Pwil’s career and an elevation from his preceding album, showing off both versatility and lyricism at the same time.

What inspires me: I am inspired by everyday life situations, focused mostly on real life experiences and things that happen on the streets (ghetto). Even though ironically I grew up in a well to do neighbourhood, I have carefully taken interest in the everyday lives of the less privileged and how they live. I have also spent a few years living in the average ghetto neighbourhood while I was living in the United States. This is where I drew most of my inspiration from.

Where do I see myself in a few years: I see my self being big, using the talent which God gave me to reach people all over the world. My music has no limits, I do it for Africa and also internationally. I see myself also getting better in the career; I still believe am learning so there are no limits to where i would reach. I see myself building such a fan base that will give meaning to purpose of my doing music, which is to pass on a good and positive message to people and fans all over the world. I also use my music to be able to say that there is no limit to what Africans can do, if the average American kid can spit a line, then why can't the average African kid do the same. In other words there is no limit to what we can do. I represent my home Country Nigeria to the fullest and most of my music is dedicated to it.
