(NFPT CERTIFIED, Personal Trainer)Diet plays a major role in living a healthy life. Pre and post workout food intake is critical. Fueling up 2 hours before a rigorous workout is absolutely necessary. The same applies to what you eat and drink after workout. Drink a lot of water to stay hydrated. A bit of Carbs to replace energy and protein is food for muscle growth. Most importantly, we need a lot of rest to recuperate. Please guys, don’t spend 90 minutes or so in the gym getting your cardio and muscle on, losing that extra baggage of calories and then replace the lost calories with a big bowl of ‘poundo’ with egusi!!!!! Well, the egusi isn’t the problem, it’s the plate loaded with assorted meat; goat meat, panla, shaki, bokotor, cow foot and ox tail, fuku and all sorts, then you proceed to hit the sack. That defeats the whole purpose. Our diet is mostly carbs; mix it up a bit with protein and vegetables.
A big belly is the evidence of good living; so says my people in Naija; well, we can’t afford to have our vital organs surrounded with fat, and the poor things are being suffocated. Which Elle no like 6 pack? Please some crunches and sit-ups wouldn’t go amiss.
Like any thing in life……with time it gets better. Unfortunately, the world we live in now thrives on instant gratification. We expect things to happen like yesterday. Be encouraged guys it might take weeks in some cases months, but you will surely reach your goals. Don’t be like Abeg, Abeg!! Which kind thing be this!!!
Start with stretching your body to warm up your muscles and to allow better range of motion before any exercise. For beginners working out 2 to 3 days a week will do just fine. Listen to your body, if you feel dizzy, uncomfortable or in any kinda of pain, just stop. Warm down at the end of each session, for instance, walk 3 to 4 minutes at a slow pace assuming you were on the treadmill and after that you can, do a slow full body stretch to bring your heart rate back to normal. Till next time, Stay fit and blessed.Health & Fitness Tips for Men I Health & Fitness Tips SHREDDED ABDOMINAL I 12 Ways to lose Weight I How to keep healthy the easy ways No comments have been provided.
