ARE YOU LITERATI? - “Bold, Direct & Unapologetic” Literati? [Latin litter t , l ter t , pl. of litter tus, literate; see literate.] There are different versions of the meaning of Literati. Literati is simply: “An educated and intellectual elite”... Introducing to the market world wide is a brand new pop culture inspired clothing line called “Literati”. Literati Clothing was founded in 2002 and began production on their high quality T-Shirt line in 2009. The Literati Clothing Head of Design, Patrick Rhodes-Vivour describes his line as “bold, direct & unapologetic”. Literati also draw inspiration from African music and intellectual icons such as Fela Anikulapo-Kuti and Lucky Dube. Its upcoming designs will also showcase the diversity of African pop culture and emerging talents such as Nigeria’s MI and Naeto C.
